Reverse engineering progress

Image
I changed my mind and decided to reverse engineer a tech deck because I thought it would be more enjoyable than my other products chosen.  Some areas were simple 3D modeling like cylinders. Others were hard to measure so I may need help with those later on.I think the fillets are what im struggling with measuring right now the most

Laser cut final

Image
My laser cutter final outcome! I originally purchased a few Trolase to get this design printed on but for some reason the computer in the thing take did not have that as a setting to cut into. The SA recommended I use the acrylic setting which ended up not showing full details which led me to birch wood. This was a lot better.

Reverse Engineer Product

For my reverse engineering assignment I found it difficult to take things apart so i tried to go for things I found that were easier to break apart. If I somehow find a way to take more things apart i may try other items as well but for now i have this; Lanyard key ring Pencil Spray bottle Fidget spinner  Nail cutter  And lastly, if i’m feeling like putting in a lot of time (and money) I want to try to build a lego car with a lot of pieces. (No reverse engineering images because i don’t own one)

Surface design continued: 3D applications

Surface design continued with some object mapping on a sphere, sheet of paper, and a mug.

Surface Design

In this assignment I chose to mix a variety of industrial surface design such as chains, lights, and other architectural builds from walls, roof etc. mixed with other designs such as ice cream cones, graphic designs at a variety of buildings, clothing to make a design that contains all of the above to create a trippy visual.  The hardest part of this assignment was probably choosing a colour scheme and also merging the surface designs together to create something original. Eventually I was able to incorporate enough shapes to create this ice cream cone with squares and triangles which led my to thinking of more surface designs that contained those.  Below are some examples of surface design I collected on my scavenger hunt as well as my process of creation and the array.
